MEMORY COMPUTACIÓN:
RONI LIEBERMAN

THE ENTREPRENEUR
Memory Computación is a technology-based company with operations in Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Ecuador, Guatemala and Mexico. In Uruguay, where the company started, more than 40,000 companies are managed, directly or indirectly, using Memory's software, having captured 71% of the market. Memory has established strategic alliances and has signed technological cooperation and market development agreements with multinational corporations. Microsoft Corporation recently presented Memory software in New York as an example of innovation and technology integrated with Microsoft's new product, Microsoft Office XP, confirming Memory's global positioning and world-class products.

The simplicity of Memory’s products, and the dynamic expansion in the use of the Internet and computers by SMEs, mark a tremendous market potential to expand its services to the rest of Latin America. Indeed, the Company is now replicating its successful business model developed in Uruguay into other larger markets including Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Ecuador, Guatemala and recently Mexico.

THE COMPANY
Roni Lieberman’s passion for technology began in 1986, when he developed his first centralized accounting software product by working long nights while studying engineering at the Universidad de la República. It was in the same year that Roni chose to quit university and start Memory. He was motivated by the strong belief that he faced a unique opportunity: to create a large company developing niche software. Detecting an unfilled market need in accounting and management software for small companies, Roni began to develop what would become Memory’s core product: an integrated user-friendly management and accounting system for small businesses and individuals.

Roni’s innovating capacity was acknowledged when Memory was granted the "El Genio" (The Genius) award to the Most Innovative Uruguayan Company. Because of its commitment to excellence, the National Quality Committee honored Memory in a special presentation on national TV. Its main product, "Memory Magus" has been awarded with the "Guía Award" for best Uruguayan Software. Roni Lieberman was elected and served as President of the Uruguayan Information Technology Chamber several years.
